Day 11: Errands

Today, nothing exciting happened. I woke up earlier than usual and did numerous amounts of laundry. I also had to run a bunch of errands. I went to the bank, target, the mall, and the gas station. After all of my errands were completed, I went to basketball practice from 1-3, came home and got a shower (which felt SO relaxing by the way!). Then I went to work from 4-10.

Day 10: Game-Time

Today, I had my first basketball game since December 22, 2011--TOO LONG! I forgot how much I really enjoyed playing against other teams. We played Ocean County, and they are ranked in the top ten teams of the nation. They were really good, so it was definitely a challenge for us to play against them. But, we played SO tough, and never gave up once! We ended up losing by 12 points, which is not that much in Basketball. We play them again in about three weeks, so hopefully we can beat them next time! We could have scored more against them, but we needed to get back to our rhythm. Very excited to play them again, and so proud of my team for giving 110%!

Day 8: God's Plan

Today, I found out that my Uncle who recently received the kidney transplant (donated from his wife, my Aunt), was re-admitted back to the hospital this afternoon. His creatinine levels-measures the level of function of the kidney-increased by 0.5. Even though its just a slight increase, its a sign that his body is starting to reject the kidney. So, they re-admitted him..hoping to adjust his anti-rejection medicine, which should lower his levels again. They only want to monitor him until Thursday, and I really hope its something as simple as adjusting the medication. My Aunt is a wreck, as anyone could imagine. I just keep reminding her and myself that everything happens for a reason. There was a reason that a dozen people did not pass all of the tests to be able to donate to my Uncle. There was a reason that she was a match, which is rare in a husband and wife. Theres a reason God is putting my Uncle to the test, he knows that he can handle it..and so can my Aunt. I just try and help her think positively and remind her that there is nothing she can do...she has done everything and more by donating her kidney..and that everything is in God's hand now. Trust in God.

Day 7: Junk Food

Nothing exciting happened today, so I guess I'll write about what I ate...CRAP! For lunch, I had a bacon cheeseburger, french fries, and soda. So bad for your health, I know..But it has been a long time since I've had a cheeseburger and soda. Then, I had a bowl of ice cream to help my throat, while I watched a movie in my pajamas with my sister. Dinner was okay, I had chicken, corn, and a salad. HOWEVER, later on after taking my Aunt shopping..she treated me to chick-fil-a, where I got a chocolate milkshake. Basically the worst I've ever eaten in my life..I think I covered pretty much everything thats bad for you; burgers, fries, soda, and ice cream. Welllllll, at least it all tasted good...I'm just regretting it later! :)

Day 6: Sore-Throats

I woke up this morning with a very sore throat, and tomorrow it will probably be worse, lol! However, I do have a GREAT dad, who made me home made hot chocolate to make me feel better! That, and the amazing Halls cough drops got me through the day (hopefully I won't need any more for tomorrow!).
Also, who ever invented these...I LOVE YOU!

Day 5: Restaurant Business

All I need to describe my day that consisted of waiting on people, is this picture above.
If you have ever been a server, you will understand. Enough said.
